La Pêche is very fortunate to have environmentally conscious residents. In the weeks leading up to the La Pêche Media’s public meeting, many discussions were held online regarding the municipalities Green Fund Composting Program. Mayor Guillaume Lamoureux took the time to join in this public meeting to hear the people’s concerns and try to answer some questions.
There is a real concern for some that believe because of living rurally, the impact of curbside pick-up might be greater than the need to compost. Val des Monts has opted out of their program, and instead gave out composters to households. Already, this has proven to be very effective. It has thus far reduced costs by way of no truck drivers/truck/dumping fees to pay and as well they have reduced over 700 tons less garbage in the first year.
Mayor Guillaume Lamoureux has stated more public meetings will be held regarding the composting program. Keep voicing your concerns La Pêche residents.

La Pêche a la chance d'avoir des résidents soucieux de l'environnement. Les semaines précédant la réunion publique des médias de La Pêche, de nombreuses discussions ont eu lieu en ligne concernant le programme de compostage du Fonds vert des municipalités. Le maire Guillaume Lamoureux a pris le temps de se joindre à cette réunion publique pour entendre les préoccupations de la population et tenter de répondre à certaines questions.
