REGENT PARK TV: InfiniGuard -- A Social Enterprise in Regent Park

InfiniGuard, a social enterprise security service, based in Regent Park, was founded in 2019 by Murwan Khogali, a resident of Regent Park. Infiniguard offers a free of cost security training and provides employment opportunities to members of the community, including the youth at risk, new immigrants, and women.

According the Executive Director of the InfiniGuard services, “After establishing myself in the security industry and gaining over 10 years experience as a leader, I decided to create a social enterprise that will cater to the residents of Regent Park and other low income communities across the GTA.”

Currently the company has been a trusted choice for some renowned clients in Toronto, including the Daniels Corporation, and Murwan is hoping to finalize deals with prestigious residential condos within Regent Park area for their security/concierge services.

InfiniGuard, brings together the community through skills and training, and paves way for many positive impacts on individuals and community as a whole. For example, most job opportunities for newcomers are unapproachable, as it requires prior Canadian experience or expect a high level of Canadian qualifications. However, InfiniGuard services cater to such challenges and can help newcomers meet their financial needs while also giving them an opportunity to be trained, socialize with other members and learn about Canadian community at large. InfiniGuard can also assist Youth at risk who are vulnerable to financial and social pressures. InfiniGuard can provide these youth with financial independence which can help protect them both socially and economically.

Lastly InfiniGuard is a great initiative for community minded employers who are in need of security who would like to provide opportunities to local youth.

To this end, Murwan has secured one-year of funding from the City of Toronto as part of the Regent Park Social Development Plan.  The funds are dedicated to the provision of security training and uniforms for the youth involved.
